OCRA (Open Circuit Random Assembly) is the Open Circuit house band and is made from varying combinations of the cream of the UK underground, experimental and improvising scences mixed with performers that are new to improvising and performing.

OCRA is led by Shaun Blezard and is a format for looking at new ways to improvise and for writing and performing new scored works.

The idea came from a number of years of Shaun putting together various groupings for events and performances and the constant need for a name. It was decided that an 'umbrela' name to brand this would be helpful so OCRA came to be.

OCRA intends to be fluid both in personnel terms but also in musical terms, the only remit being a need for members to explore their instrument and also themselves within a group environment.
